The answer is simple. Here in tompkins county any one who is a resistance of Ithaca - Tompkins county can purchase a D.B.A. Cost = $ 25.00.

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., USA (April 8, 2009). There has been much controversy about touching in various cultures. The debate started when US President Barack Obama extended his hand to England's Queen Elizabeth and was further fueled when the First Lady was photographed touching the Queen on the back.Throughout the world the act of touching has cultural meaning. In Asia it is considered disrespectful to touch an older person on the head, back, or shoulders. Even if the intent is to show respect or to comfort the person the act of touching these areas conveys insult.

Touching a business card in many oriental cultures, especially Japan, is the same as touching the individual. Great care should be given to the business card by grasping the card with both hands, admiring it, and then placing it in your pocket closest to your heart. Also remember it is extremely rude to write on the business card, fold it, or to place it in your back pocket.General TouchingIn the Middle East it is rude to not hold the hand of a friend of the same gender while walking down the street. However it is rude, and could violate local law, to publically hold hands with a friend of the opposite gender.

Publically touching in France is normal. It is normal to touch while greeting someone, if you agree with them, or to make a point. The touching is not violent of considered an invasion of personal space as it is expected. In a study done by Jourard (1966) in Paris recorded an average of 110 touches by friends or parents in cafes as compared to 2 touches at coffee shops in Miami. Interestingly observers found that touching in Miami was more aggressive 37 percent of the time.

Italy and Greece had high rates of touching while Australia, New Zealand, and England were more aligned with the Miami touch rates. Additional studies in later years found similar results.Mediterranean cultures are also very touching. Handshakes are not as common as a hug and cheek kiss among people of the same gender. This cultural norm typically is retained by Mediterranean travelers or immigrants.Shaking HandsShaking hands has some cultural implications:In Russia and Poland shaking hands is okay provided it is not done in a doorway or over a threshold. It is considered to be unlucky for both people. Hand shaking should occur before one gets to the door or after they have already entered.

In Europe it is considered impolite to shake hands while wearing gloves. Even on the coldest days it is expected the other person is important enough for you to remove your gloves. Fashion gloves worn by women are an exception as these gloves can remain on the woman's hands – however only if the gloves are designed specifically to be worn indoors.In sub-Sahara Africa a handshake typically involves both hands. The right hands clasp while left hands are laid over the right hands during the shake.In most Western cultures, such as the United States it is rude for a man to shake extend his hand to a woman unless she first extends her hand. Although this cultural courtesy is dying it is still expected to be followed in the elite and those in the Builder Generation.

Never attempt to shake the hand of a German man if he is with his wife unless you first shake her hand. It is disrespectful and belittling to the woman if you seek to first shake her husband's hand.

I love this place. The employees are warm and gregarious, the selection (sandwiches, pastries, snacks) broad and fresh.

For $3.25 they made a warm, crispy sandwich for me that wasn't even on the menu. What's more, they remember you when you return and make the effort to cheer you up while you wait in line to make payment.

Worth the visit -- especially if you're staying next door at the Helmsley, whose food is overpriced and far less satisfying.

Generation and now generation of Ithacans have not sent an Ithaca representitive to the Miss New York State contest component of the overall Miss America, or Miss USa contests.

This has had negative economic affects upon Ithaca's development, as there are those within the New York State and other regions who are aware of why this has not happen. They have decided this is one of an increasing longer list of why there has not been major economic development within Ithaca / Tompkins county.

There are other more formal factors. All of which indicates that a Miss Ithaca Contest is crucial in creating a more positive image which Ithaca presents of itself which in turns favors development.

By choosing uneducated brides, some parents can prevent costly household partition. Paternalistic self-interest consequently generates low levels of female schooling in the steady state equilibrium. State payments to parents for educating daughters fail to raise female schooling levels. Policies (such as housing subsidies) that promote nuclear families, interventions against early marriages, and state support to couples who marry against parental wishes, are however all likely to improve female schooling. We offer evidence from India consistent with our theoretical analysis.

I have labeled these in coming - matriculating generations, The Heroic Generations; thus the present social, cultural, political and deeply spiritual need to go beyond present campus traditions.

Opportunity has always been open to you to start developing options off campus, and from an organized base. Thus safer are your dollars entertainment and dating investments and a better feel of your life as a result

Private going aways party was conducted in Syracuse, New York by a group of Ithaca College Students. This event, which must remain private, was inspired by the Ithaca College Students Clubs website [] sub domian of Ithaca Night Life dot com.

The reason for this event is that there are a number of students who want privacy, and want a breath of fresh air at the sametime, and have found campus organizations too ridgid and was too politically correct.

Thus, and with only the permission of this photo, Ithaca College students among their other friends from other Universities and Colleges participated in more relaxed social surroundings and having fun atmosphere, along with more adult entertainment.

This was their last hurrah before graduating, and they would not miss it for the world.

Are Women Really More Talkative Than Men?"

AUSTIN, Texas—Refuting the popular stereotype that females talk more than men, researchers at The University of Texas at Austin have found women and men both use an average of 16,000 words each day.

The psychology researchers have published their findings in "Are Women Really More Talkative Than Men?" in the July issue of Science.

For more than a decade, researchers have claimed that women use far more words each day than men. One set of numbers that is commonly tossed around is that women use 20,000 words per day compared to only 7,000 for men.

"These findings have been reported widely by national media and have entered the cultural mainstream," James W. Pennebaker, chair of the Psychology Department and co-author of the study, said. "Although many people believe the stereotypes of females as talkative and males as reticent, there is no large-scale study that systematically has recorded the natural conversations of large groups of people for extended period of time."

For eight years, the psychology researchers have developed a method for recording natural language using the electronically activated recorder (EAR). The unobtrusive digital voice recorder tracks people's interactions, including their conversations.

The researchers analyzed the transcripts of almost 400 university students in the United States and Mexico whose daily interactions were recorded between 1998 and 2004. The research participants could not control the EAR, which automatically records for 30 seconds every 12.5 minutes, and did not know when the device was on.

Matthias Mehl, assistant professor of psychology at the University of Arizona in Tucson, is the lead author of the study. In 2004, he earned a doctor's degree in psychology from The University of Texas at Austin where he conducted the research with Pennebaker, Richard Slatcher and Nairán Ramírez-Esparza.

Termanology makes Massachusetts Hip-Hop History with "Mass-As-A-Nation"
Lawrence, MA (July 6, 2007) — A scene not always known for unity and peace, Massachusetts finally has a song to represent the states over-looked talent. Lawrence native Termanology has taken it upon himself to help unite the scene by selecting Mass's best MCs to represent on "Mass-As-A-Nation", a 15 minute posse cut off his latest street album, Hood Politics V.

With the help of manager Dan Green and DJ Statik Selektah, Term wanted to make a statement in the Boston Rap Scene by linking rappers that would not usually work together in normal circumstances. “Mass-As-A-Nation” starts with an introduction by DJ Statik Selektah and is followed by 8 bars each from thirty-six rappers representing cities across the state, establishing a powerful state anthem that ensures that every voice will be heard. The track was produced by Pete Beatz and recorded by Bob Nash at Wonka Sound Studio in Lowell, Mass.

Hood Politics V will be released to the streets and internet this month, hosted by 2 power-players in the mixtape world, Big Mike and DJ Statik Selektah.
